Maysaa Mahroum, born in Nazareth, completed her undergraduate studies in art at the University of Haifa (2008-2011). Maysaa searches for her development and uniqueness, relying on existing traditional materials of her social and familial environment, to formulate it with exclusive artistic sayings and constructions that merge between the two schools, Arabic and Western.The first collection of Mausaa deals with the Islamic oriental school of geometric decoration, which through it a different concept of abstraction and how it is employed and studied is shown.It is worth noting that Maysaa has studied the printing of abstract motifs printed <Ebru art> at the Sultan Mehmet School in Istanbul in 2018.The other group of Maysaa's works is related to the source of her family's livelihood, the Al-Mahroum family, which is a network for the manufacture of oriental sweets in the country, such as Kunafa, Shafayef Al-Sit (The Ladies lips), Ka'b Al-Ghazal (The Deer's Heel), and other names and different types of traditional sweets that form the main focus of many of her artworks that express personal, artistic, and symbolic attitudes. In addition, the use of raw materials such as sugar, ghee, and chocolate, which Maysaa used in her other works as well (not presented in this collection)Moreover, she has and still participates in different workshops and art exhibitions.
