עיר מפעל הוא מיזם אמנותי, קהילתי סביבתי המייצר מרחבים אמנותיים שיתופיים והשתתפותיים המדמים מפעלים ופסי ייצור. דרך מרחבים אלו אנו מפתחים חשיבה יצירתית, מחנכים לתודעה סביבתית, מחברים בין אנשים ומעודדים יצירה אמנותית לכל אחד.
עיר מפעל נפתח ב-2021 כמפעל אמנותי השתתפותי שהזמין את הקהל הרחב להשתתף כפועל וכקהל. המפעל הראשון נפתח במובי מוזיאון בת ים, ושנתיים לאחר מכן בגלריה החדשה סדנאות האמנים טדי בירושלים בשיתוף מרכז לאמנות חזותית ג'ינוגלי במסגרת פסטיבל ישראל. בין מפעל למפעל, צוות עיר מפעל עובד עם הקהילות שנוצרו במסגרת הפרויקטים, יוצר פסי ייצור אמנותיים-השתתפותיים וסדנאות אומנות וממשיך לפתח וליצור אמנות חדשה.
City Factory is an artistic, community, environmental initiative that creates collaborative and participatory artistic spaces resembling factories and production lines. Through these spaces, we foster creative thinking, promote environmental awareness, connect people, and encourage artistic creation for everyone.
City Factory was launched in 2021 as a participatory art factory, inviting the general public to take part both as workers and as an audience. The first factory opened at MoBY – Museums of Bat Yam, and two years later, the second factory opened at the New Gallery – Teddy Artists' Studios in Jerusalem, in collaboration with the Ginogli Visual Arts Center as part of the Israel Festival. Between projects, the team works with the communities formed through these projects, creating artistic and participatory production lines, conducting art workshops, and continuing to develop and produce new art.
